Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
Real Estate Valets Australia (REVS) — effective 26 February 2026
Important — Directory Only
Real Estate Valets Australia (REVS) operates solely as a directory platform. We do not employ service providers, guarantee any service, or accept liability for work performed. All business relationships are directly between the client and the service provider. REVS is not responsible for ABN registration, tax obligations, or insurance — these are the sole responsibility of each individual service provider.
1. Privacy Policy — Collection of Information
REVS collects personal information including name, email address, phone number, suburb/postcode, and service details solely for the purpose of operating the directory and connecting clients with service providers.
Your contact details are used only to facilitate introductions between clients and service providers listed on REVS.
We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties outside of the platform's direct service-matching purpose.
Service provider listings (name, suburb, service category, contact details) are publicly visible on the directory.
You may request removal of your data at any time by contacting us directly.
We use cookies and analytics to improve platform performance and user experience.
2. Contact Between Clients & Service Providers
By using REVS, both clients and service providers agree to the following communication standards:
All enquiries must be responded to in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
Service providers must respond to client enquiries within a reasonable timeframe (recommended: within 48 hours).
Any pricing, scope of work, and scheduling must be clearly communicated and agreed upon by both parties before any service is performed.
Pricing must be fair, transparent, and mutually agreed upon — no surprise charges after the fact.
REVS reserves the right to remove listings where service providers demonstrate unprofessional conduct or repeated complaints.
3. Professional Standards & Dress Code
All service providers listed on REVS are expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism, particularly when attending properties on behalf of clients.
Dress Code — Property Inspections & Open Homes:
Service providers must present in neat, clean, and professional attire when attending any property.
Business casual or smart casual dress is required as a minimum standard (e.g. collared shirt, clean trousers or dress pants, clean footwear).
Torn, dirty, or overly casual clothing (e.g. ripped jeans, singlets, thongs) is not permitted at property inspections or open homes.
Name tags, business cards, or branded clothing (if applicable) are encouraged to identify yourself as a professional service provider.
Good personal hygiene and grooming are expected at all times when representing your services on behalf of a client.
Professional Conduct:
Arrive on time — or notify the client promptly if there are any delays.
Treat all property visitors, owners, and tenants with respect and courtesy.
Do not make representations about a property beyond your agreed scope of work.
Maintain confidentiality regarding any private property or client information.
Act honestly and transparently at all times in the delivery of your services.
4. Service Provider Requirements — Independent Business Identity
REVS is a directory only. Every service provider listed on REVS is an independent operator and is solely responsible for their own business compliance. The following is required of all service providers:
ABN (Australian Business Number): All service providers must hold a valid ABN registered with the Australian Business Register. REVS does not provide or guarantee any ABN on behalf of any provider.
Tax Obligations: Each service provider is individually responsible for managing their own tax obligations, including GST registration (if applicable), income tax, and BAS lodgement. REVS has no involvement in and accepts no liability for any provider's tax affairs.
Insurance: Service providers are strongly encouraged to hold appropriate public liability insurance and any other relevant cover for their services. REVS does not provide, arrange, or guarantee any insurance coverage for any service provider or their activities.
Licences & Permits: Where a service requires a licence (e.g. electrical, plumbing, real estate), the provider must hold all relevant and current licences. Clients are encouraged to verify credentials before engaging any service provider.
REVS accepts no responsibility for disputes arising from unlicensed work, uninsured incidents, or tax non-compliance by listed service providers.
5. Pricing Agreement
All pricing must be agreed upon by both the service provider and the client before any work commences.
Service providers must provide clear, upfront pricing or a written quote before starting any job.
Any variation to the agreed price must be communicated and accepted by the client before proceeding.
REVS does not set, regulate, or guarantee any pricing. Pricing is entirely at the discretion of the service provider and client agreement.
Disputes over pricing or services are to be resolved directly between the client and service provider. REVS is not a party to any such dispute.
6. Obligations of Unlicensed Valets — Property Inspections & Open Homes
This section applies specifically to individuals engaged through the REVS directory to facilitate property inspections or open homes who are not licensed real estate agents. Such individuals are engaged solely in a facilitative capacity — commonly referred to as a "door valet" — and are strictly limited in the scope of their role as outlined below.
Where a property is being sold or leased privately (i.e. without a licensed real estate agent acting on behalf of the owner), a valet may be engaged by the property owner to open and manage access to the property for prospective buyers or renters. In performing this role, the following obligations apply without exception:
Disclosure of Role: Upon arrival at the property and upon any interaction with prospective buyers or renters, the valet must immediately and clearly disclose that they are not a licensed real estate agent and are present solely on behalf of the property owner to facilitate access to the property for the purpose of the inspection.
No Discussion of Price: Valets are strictly prohibited from discussing, referencing, negotiating, or providing any opinion regarding the asking price, rental amount, or any other financial terms associated with the property. All pricing discussions must be directed exclusively to the property owner.
No Involvement in Contracts or Property Matters: Valets must not engage in, comment upon, or facilitate any discussion relating to contracts, terms of sale or lease, property condition, property history, council zoning, rates, strata, or any other matter pertaining to the property itself. Any such enquiries must be referred directly to the owner.
Referral of Interested Parties: Where a prospective buyer or renter expresses interest in the property or wishes to make further enquiries, the valet must provide them with the contact details of the property owner so that the owner may directly conduct all relevant discussions, negotiations, and correspondence.
Scope of Engagement: The valet's engagement is limited strictly to opening the property, managing entry and exit of visitors in an orderly and professional manner, and ensuring the property is secured upon completion of the inspection. Nothing in this engagement confers any agency relationship or authority to act on behalf of the owner beyond facilitation of access.
Compliance with Applicable Law: Unlicensed valets must ensure that their conduct at all times complies with applicable state and territory property, real estate, and consumer protection legislation. REVS accepts no liability for any breach of law by a valet arising from conduct that exceeds the permissible scope of an unlicensed facilitative role.
Note: The laws governing who may conduct real estate activities, including facilitating property inspections, vary by state and territory in Australia. It is the sole responsibility of each valet to ensure they are operating within the legal framework applicable in their jurisdiction.
7. Limitation of Liability
REVS provides a directory service only and is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from the use of any service listed on this platform.
REVS makes no warranty regarding the quality, suitability, or compliance of any listed service provider.
By using this platform — whether as a client or service provider — you agree to these terms in full.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia.
8. Changes to These Terms
REVS reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
